Jammers Champs Again!! EASI this time!!

You guys had another great weekend!! I am extremely proud. You hit, pitched and fielded incredibly well. Keep it up. League starts next week.

Here is how the weekend unfolded:

Game 1 Jammers v Cubs. The Cubs are up and coming. Jammers win 13-1.

Game 2 Jammers v Sooners. Great job on the mound by Colby and the bats were rolling. Jammers win 15-0.

Game 3 Jammers v Edmond Tigers. Got some unneeded motivation by a loudmouth in an orange hat. Who cares what dugout? Great pitching by Brady and a mammouth homerun by Zac. Jammers cruise 15-4.

Game 4 Finals. Jammers v Tigers. We let an 8-3 last inning lead slip through our fingers. We will learn from that mistake. Due to some great hitting, keyed by Blake's line drive homer, Jammers win 9-8.

Year to date: 3 championships in 3 tourneys. 14-0 overall 7-0 against 10U and 7-0 against 9U

Wow What a GREAT Weekend!! Champs again!!

What else can you say!! You guys beat last years state champs in AA and AAA in a 10U tourney. Unreal. I am very, very proud of you guys! Keep up the good work, stay grounded, and keep working hard to make ourselves better. Only one practice this week on Wednesday. I will call with times. No tourney this next weekend, but we will practice on Sunday.

Here is how the week unfolded:

Game 1 Jammers v Mudcats. PCO's best in 10U. Jammers out of the box a little slow, many baserunning errors. All on me. I will make sure we work on it in the next few weeks. Jammers win 4-1.

Game 2 Jammers v Sun Devils. Hard throwing lefty came at us. It was a game for a while.....Jammers win 11-1.

Game 3 Jammers v Red Hawks. Single elimination starts now. Great job on the mound KT. Jammers win 11-4.

Game 4 Jammers v Steal. What a great game by both teams. Maybe the most dominating performance on the mound we have seen yet. Wonderful game "Z". Jammers win a tight one 3-1.

Game 5 Semifinals. Jammers v Dirtbags. Dirtbags are well coached and well schooled. Great overall team. Jammers find themselves down 2-0 early, but Brady holds the Dirtbags at bay until the bats got hot. Jammers win 6-2.

Game 6 Finals. Jammers v Sooners. Great job on the mound by Deshawn, Riley, and Kotcha. Bats come up big. Congrats Jammers!! Jammers win 9-6. Tournament champs!!

Year to date overall record 10-0. 7-0 against 10's 3-0 against 9's.

We will be switching weekends for tournament 3/10!!

We will be playing this weekend at Del City and not next weekend in OKC to allow for a longer spring break for each of you. I am sure we will play Friday night in Del City, so let's gear it up and play ball!

Uniforms: Fri: Red top, red hat, black belt, red sox, red stripe pant
Sat: White top and grey hat with black socks and belt
Sun: Same as Friday.

We are playing all 10U, so we need to step up our game to compete. Call me with questions.

Saturday, March 4th

Well, we have played our first 2 games of the 2006 season. Other than being cold, the boys played well. We played the Independence Indians and the Mac and Seitz (sorry about the spelling), two great teams. We came away with two wins, 3-1, and 7-2, respectively. The game against the M&S was much closer than the score lets on. DeShawn, Riley, Brady, and Zac pitched. How is that for a brief summary.

Now on the the stuff the moms really care about: uniforms. All red, except for a belt. So, red hat, red jersey, black sleeves, red striped pants, black belt, red socks. (white sliders, goes without saying, or maybe pink if Stephanie or I do your laundry) ;) We play at 11:45: see you at 11 a.m.
